Rip Ragged's new post said some thing new for him - he's getting tired of repeating himself. I find this interesting because he's always done that. I usually peruse the blog for the jokes and humor, but I can't build up a head of steam over Apple vs. the world. I just doesn't matter in the larger scope of life.
I always enjoy Rip's wit, but have occasionally been turned off by the tenor of his politics. Like most people that irritate me, he apppears to be certain of his positions.
I have never been sure about much. Politics makes me feel like I need a shower. I always see the faults in anything that I build - or do. The only thing that I feel certain about is that it's not good to be too certain. I'm not afraid to take a stand, but I always know I could be wrong - so I try build the defenses with the arguements. And I always try to look at it from all sides.
The thing I like about this form of communication is that all of that can be thrown out the window. I can be as self congradualatory and self serving, and I get to edit out the commenters that don't agree with everything I say. Isn't the internet a wonderful thing?

Why am I blogging?
I really don't know - I guess I just like having a place where I can make up the rules and say what's on my mind. One of my best friends has a blog that puts forward the notion that Apple is better than all other computer companies. I actually think that he repeats himself too much, but when you limit your blog as much as he does, I guess that will happen. I'm going to try not to do that. I'll have to let this go for now - see you around.
